I love to sing. Truth is I haven’t done it in a long, long time.
I sing in church and I sing in the shower but it just isn’t the same. Music is in my blood. My dad’s family is deeply musical. I remember one Christmas my uncle making musical instruments out of everything. He was an orchestra conductor and his family all played the strings. They even made an old bass out of a washtub. It was so fun. In fact, one of my cousins (the most talented by far) went to the Royal Academy of Music in London and has sang for the Queen.
There is something about music that registers in all of us. It just does. Music speaks when our words fail.
Today’s Challenge: Sing. Sing as a family, sing by yourself, sing in the shower or go out caroling. If you don’t have the guts to do that then sing in your kitchen. Sing Christmas songs. Sing praise music. Sing whatever makes your heart feel glad.
