5 simple ways to become more confident

become more confidentAs I’ve wandered through life it’s become clear to me that one of the greatest obstacles we face as women is the trap of comparing ourselves with other women.

As soon as we even think about what we’ve accomplished in light of another’s success we’re a goner. We’re sliding down that slippery slope of comparison and soon we’ve flung headlong into jealousy, envy and bitterness.

But here’s the deal: you were made with a purpose only YOU can fulfill.

Not her, not that friend who seems to conquer and do it all. Nope. Not her. You.

If you keep holding onto jealousy and a bitter, critical spirit you’re never going to get what is meant for you. You’ll keep stumbling over your own two feet and we don’t have time for that.

{And frankly, neither do you.}

It’s time for you to seize the moment – this moment. THIS IS YOUR MOMENT!

Here are 5 simple ways that YOU can become more confident:

1. Stop comparing!

Stop comparing yourself to the people around you. Especially your friends! Focus on being the best possible YOU and let them be the best possible them. We need each other’s best to find our best.

2. Follow your passion.

When you focus on you & what you love, you’ll become good at it!  Hellllloo confidence boost!

3. Love thy SELF!

Take a hard look at beautiful you. Find 3 things that make you unique & beautiful and celebrate them! Dare to be different. Dare to be the uniquely beautiful you.

4. Be positive.

This life is short. Too short. Choose to look at every situation and experience as a gift, teaching you something or some way to be better instead of bitter. Every moment, every minute you have a choice. Choose to find the little gifts and be positive.

5. Encourage & build up others.

It seems counter-intuitive because we’re used to tearing people down to feel better. {p.s. that doesn’t work}. When you start building others up and encouraging them to their passions, you will find you are happier. Healthier. You-er.

And THAT, my friend, is beautiful.
