live the life you imagine

open heart open hands

every one of us was designed with a dream in our heart. i truly believe this.

but life gets in the way. fears, doubts, insecurities and just the day-to-day noise of our lives block us from hearing the quiet whisper of our heart.

because our hearts don’t scream out at us: THIS IS YOUR DREAM!!!

no.

the heart whispers. it quickens. it speaks to us through our tears.

these are the God-planted dreams of a heart.

the calm place in the middle of a storm. the stillness in chaos. the fierce quiet amidst the clamoring noise. where your tears meet the deepest longing of your heart.

it’s the pull of your calling.

each of us has a different call imbedded in the fabric of who we are. all that is us, all we long to be, who we were made to be and what we were created to do. so often i resist. i think i’m not qualified, ready, capable, able.

but i’m willing.

and perhaps being willing is all that is required. all that He needs to use us. mold us. make us for Him.

He doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

the only ingredients required to follow the Author of your dream is an open heart and willing hands.

unclench your fist.

throw your head back and look to the sky.

open your heart, open your hands and live the life you imagine.

    Tammy,
Thank you for taking the time to write such inspirational words. I know you wrote it a month ago, but I just now stumbled across it. I believe we find or “stumble” onto things that were meant for us because it’s God’s way of leading us to something He’s trying to show us. I am in the beginning stages of opening my own business and living my heart’s desire to take care of others. I am at the beginning of a journey that no one around me can step in and help me with (due to not knowing how or what to do), and so at times I feel very overwhelmed. I know God has called me to do this, to be the light to others, to live out my calling to help others, and to help care for my family. I have people who are literally waiting for me to “open” for business so that they can work for me, and I want to help them out so much, but I can’t move forward. At times I feel so not qualified, not capable, not ready, and not able to do this on my own, and yet all these people believe in me. I keep hearing and reading that God gave us what we need, and I believe that with my whole heart. Today, I found this particular blog…and love it. I feel it was meant for me to read…to keep pressing forward…am I scared? Yes, absolutely. I don’t know what the future holds for me…I don’t know what God wants me to do once I get going, or why he called me to do this when there are other things just like it out there. But I know in my heart, He is going to bless my business and do more than I imagine. It’s the fear of the unknown…but I am learning to Trust God. Thank you for your words of inspiration!
