One decision away

extra hour

Let’s agree that every single one of us could use just a little bit more time.

Unless you’re a mom alone in your house for hours on end with crying babies, then you’re hoping for a little less time!

I get it. I’ve been there too.

But for the most part, we’re always longing for a few more minutes to get to the next appointment…for a few more hours to spend on ourselves.

We all are known to complain, there just isn’t enough TIME!!

I’m one of the biggest offenders, believe me I know.

While it’s easy to say we’re lacking time, it’s a lot harder to admit it’s our own fault.

Sometimes we get so accustomed to what we do that we don’t realize it’s poisoning our own spirit.

Our decisions guide our life.

Are we making them or are they making us?

Sometimes we accept the crazy just because it’s ours. We know it. It’s familiar.

But it doesn’t have to be.

I wrestle with this in my own life.

There are things I do that I don’t even want to do, but I do. They’ve become a habit. An obsession or an addiction.

I know this. And yet I do it anyway.

So many times we are one decision away from a totally different life.

I’m making one simple decision today that I know will result in at least an hour, if not more, of totally freed up time.

Want to know what it is?

I’m putting down my phone.

For one whole day.

Today’s Challenge: Leave your phone off, at home, or put it in the trunk of your car for emergencies and see what unfolds with all that free space. You just might have some room to breathe! A long-term option is to deactivate some of your most time-consuming apps from your phone so you’re not so quick to pick it up. I know this is HARD. It is for me too. So I’m being brave today, with you. Taking back the control that I’ve given over so freely and taking back some time.
