Easy weekend spring wreath

Despite horrendous weather in some parts of the country, spring is on it’s way!!  I am already seeing trees starting to bud and birds are coming back to sing! It always makes me excited to see new life pushing through the ground.

In celebration of spring’s arrival, I thought it might be fun to find a new wreath for my front door.

My problem is I’m kind of picky. I don’t like to spend a lot and I like something classic that can take me through spring and into summer. I found the perfect {for me} spring wreath in the Williams Sonoma catalog.

The one on the top right is perfect in my mind.  Simple, classic, timeless.  The bright spring green moss, I just love it!

What I don’t love so much is the price tag: $119.95!  Can you imagine?!  Yikes!

So I thought I’d try to make it.

So in less than an hour and $12 in supplies, here is my simple spring moss wreath: spring wreath

Isn’t it soooo pretty?!  I love it.

I’ll be honest, part of the reason it was so inexpensive for me was I had everything but the moss on hand in my house.

Here is the list of supplies {and prices from hobby lobby} to make your very own perfectly simple spring moss wreath:

1.  Grapevine wreath $3.00

2.  Moss (I used two bags) $5.99 each/$12.00

3.  Burlap ribbon $4.00

4.  Glue gun/glue sticks $5.00

So for less than $25.00 and an hour of your time, you can have your very own Williams Sonoma-inspired, perfectly simple spring moss wreath.

An easy weekend project that will make you think and feel spring!
