Vanilla Mint Protein Shake

Who wants a protein shake? Chances are, if you said no you’ve had a bad one. Protein shakes often get a bad rap because the protein is hiding artificial ingredients or it leaves you with a nasty chalky aftertaste. It’s all about getting a good protein powder and today I have the answer you’ve been searching for. Swear.

How many times a week do you find yourself frustrated, trying to figure out what to eat? You want to eat healthy food that tastes good and fuels your body but, to be honest, just figuring out what’s for dinner is already enough work for one day. Join the rest of the well-meaning women of the world! If it’s not easy and delicious, I just won’t make it. It’s as simple as that.

This protein shake is my daily go-to when I’m in a rush or need a fast fix. I find myself drinking this almost every day because it’s healthy, clean and easy, and it tastes as good as it is for you. That’s the God-honest truth.

Protein shake IQ

1 banana

1 cup water

1/2 cup vanilla almond milk

2 scoops of Arbonne Vanilla Protein Powder (seriously the best protein powder on the market)

1 fresh kale leaf

a handful of fresh mint leaves

1 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp hemp seeds

full glass of ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender and viola! I like to make mine with lots of ice so it’s super thick and satisfying. That means I’m often having to help the blender along when it gets stuck. I like it more like a thick shake, the consistency of melting ice cream. Oh my gosh, it’s delicious. Swear. You just can’t screw this up!

Feel free to adjust the measurements or make substitutions to suit your taste!

What’s your favorite protein shake?

My favorite lately is black forest smoothie!
Do you know where I can buy an inexpensive but good protein powder that’s not vanilla flavored?

Hmmm, Robyn I just started using the Forza Protein from Nutrishop and I got the chocolate mint for a yummy treat-type protein fix. Not sure what your price point is but I’m liking it for convenience! They have other flavors as well. 🙂

I am a little ‘biased’ because I buy it from my own store 🙂 but Arbonne has a Protein Boost that is unflavored, unsweetened and can be added to just about anything – shakes, foods, favorite beverages. 10 grams per serving of vegan protein – pea, rice and cranberry. I add a scoop to my morning workout drink, protein bars, and my boys breakfast oatmeal. You can take a peek at it on my website – or I can send you a ‘spec’ sheet. Daily Protein Boost
